Where are you on the Project Execution Capability Map?

Time to grow and scale your business!

Leaders often have a VISION of a future state where their revenue is double or triple what it is today, there are capable people in all roles within the company delivering value to customers and continuing to execute improvement projects, and everyone in the organization loves working there, is technically competent in their role, and cheerfully executes both their daily responsibilities as well as any extra project work required to continue the company’s growth trajectory.

Getting to this utopia visionary future state, however, is another matter.

  • What improvement projects to do first? Second? Third?

  • Why are these the most important things in the immediate quarter/term?

  • Who is going to execute each role, specifically as Sponsor, Project Manager, and Technical Team for these improvement projects?

  • How much time do those people have on top of their daily roles to execute the extra project work?

  • Do they have the technical skills to do this project work, in addition to their normal roles?

  • How will the team organize, manage, measure, and communicate their progress? Will they escalate problems on their own, or will the Sponsor need to continue to jump in to ensure things are moving smoothly?

In other words - where are you on the Project Execution Capability Chart below?
